WhatsApp Upcoming features: In 2023, WhatsApp Meta introduced many new features for users, including editing sent messages and sending high-quality photos, videos, and sharing screens. Even in 2024 will have new features for the messaging service. According to the WhatsApp Beta, at least three new features are coming soon.
Share status updates on Instagram
WhatsApp Meta apps allow you to share and post on different platforms. You can share the reel on Instagram and Facebook at the same time. You can also share the post to other platforms like Facebook and Instagram with a tap. Everything works smoothly, but WhatsApp isn’t included in the Meta app system for communicating between different platforms. However, it looks like that might change soon. This feature will appear to the users immediately after the new post”, says the website.

Share music audio during a video call
Sharing the music during the video call with a screen-sharing option is another feature that is coming in future. It not only shares the screen but also allows you to share the audio. It provides a better choice for media collaboration. Moreover, you can watch movies with your friends and family on WhatsApp.
WABetaInfo first introduced this WhatsApp feature for WhatsApp on iOS and then recently on Android beta. “This feature is under development and will be available in the future,” states the website.
WhatsApp Usernames
Every social media app, such as Instagram, Facebook, and X (Formerly Twitter), has its unique username for account. The competitor of WhatsApp, i.e. Telegram, also has a unique username for each user account. And now, WhatsApp Meta seems to be testing this feature on the web and mobile. As of now, you have to share the number to connect with them on WhatsApp. But it might change with the introduction of unique usernames. Users can directly connect with others using the usernames, making it easy to find friends, family members, and contacts on the platform.
All the above features are on the WhatsApp beta app. Sometimes beta features get postponed or cancelled, but these three features have a chance to be finally released because they improve the usability of the users.
